The ESI ID has to be the same, no doubt about it. That's the unique identifier for the multihomed connection, so it has to match on both ends.

Loopback IP addresses being the same? That doesn't seem relevant to the ESI-LAG issue. Sounds like a distractor answer to me.

The LACP system ID being the same is definitely important for the ESI-LAG to function as multihomed. I'm pretty sure that's a key requirement.
