Hmm, this is tricky. I think option D is the best match, with the Test generation layer acquiring resources and the Test execution layer allowing the automated test scripts to interact with the SUT.

Option C looks good to me. The Test generation layer should be able to design test directives, and the Test definition layer should allow the definition and implementation of test cases and data.
