Which layer of the TCP/IP protocol stack corresponds to the ISO/OSI Network layer (layer 3)?

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: B

The Internet layer in the TCP/IP protocol stack corresponds to the network layer (layer 3) in the OSI/ISO model. The host-to-host layer corresponds to the transport layer (layer 4) in the OSI/ISO model. The Network access layer corresponds to the data link and physical layers (layers 2 and 1) in the OSI/ISO model. The session layer is not defined in the TCP/IP protocol stack.

I’m pretty certain the Internet layer corresponds to the OSI Network layer, but I hope I’m not mixing it up with the Session layer!

I feel like the Internet layer is definitely the right answer, but I could confuse it with the Network access layer.

I remember practicing a question like this, and I think the Host-to-host layer is more about transport, right?

I think the layer we're looking for is the Internet layer, but I'm not completely sure.

Hmm, I'm not sure. I'll need to think through the options carefully. Frequent releases could increase customer involvement, but I'm not sure if that's the "most likely" benefit.

Hmm, I'm a bit unsure about this one. The requirement is to ensure the shipment date is populated when an opportunity is won, so I'll need to think carefully about which option best addresses that.
