I think PPTP typically uses TCP port 1723, but I’m not entirely sure if there are others involved.

I've got this! PPTP uses port 1723 for the control channel, and also requires GRE (port 47) to be open. Time to put that networking knowledge to use.

Okay, let me see... PPTP, that's the older VPN protocol. I believe it uses a combination of ports, but I can't remember the exact ones off the top of my head.
