I think the answer is B - "commit dry-run outformat native". This command allows you to preview the configuration changes before actually pushing them to the network.
Okay, I've got an idea. With progressive scan, the entire frame is displayed at once, while with interlaced, it's displayed in two passes. So I'd guess the difference would be most noticeable when there's a lot of motion in the video, like a football game. The interlacing would cause more artifacts.
