Option D gets my vote. Reducing the number of HFile files through compaction is key for efficient data storage and management.

Haha, 'Compatior' in Option C? Looks like someone needs to brush up on their spelling and understanding of compaction!

This is a tricky one, but I think Option D is the way to go. Compaction is all about reducing the number of files, right?

I'm not sure about the differences between Minor and Major compaction, but Option D definitely sounds like the most accurate description.

Option D seems to be the correct answer. Compaction reduces the number of HFile files by merging them, which is a good way to optimize storage.

I'm not sure, but I think option A) There are Minor and Major both could also be correct since compaction can involve both minor and major operations.

I agree with Mary, option D makes the most sense because compaction does involve merging files to reduce the number of HFile files.
