HPE7-A07 Exam - Topic 1 Question 2 Discussion

Actual exam question for HP's HPE7-A07 exam
Question #: 2
Topic #: 1
[All HPE7-A07 Questions]

Your customer added third-party USB dongles to the USB ports of their AOS 10 access points. The customer uses AP-615 and AP-635 Each AP is connected with a Cat 6A cable to a CX 6300F Class 4 PoE switch All APs are in the same group in HPE Aruba Networking Central and share the same configuration However, many of the dongles do not come up.

Which option will solve this issue?

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: A

USB dongles often require additional power, which may exceed the power delivery capabilities of Class 4 PoE switches. Aruba AP-615 and AP-635 are designed to work with USB dongles that require additional power for proper operation. Since the Cat 6A cable can support higher power levels, replacing the Class 4 PoE switches with Class 6 PoE switches, which can deliver higher power, should resolve the issue with the dongles not powering up.

Totally agree with C, a reboot could fix it!

Why would moving to a different group help? Sounds odd.

Isn't it weird that some dongles just won't work?

I think option C makes the most sense here.

The AP-615 and AP-635 both support Class 4 PoE.

Moving the AP-635 to a different group sounds like a possible solution, but I wonder if that would complicate the overall configuration.

I feel like the 'poe disable' and 'poe enable' option could reset the APs, but I’m not sure if that would actually solve the dongle issue.

This seems similar to a practice question about service profiles. I think creating separate profiles might help, but I’m not entirely confident.

I remember we discussed how PoE classes affect power delivery, but I'm not sure if Class 4 is enough for those dongles.

This seems straightforward to me. The issue is with the third-party dongles, so I'd go with option D and move the AP-635s to a separate group to configure them separately from the AP-615s.

I'm a bit confused by the different AP models and the PoE switch class. I'll need to double-check the requirements for each AP model to make sure the PoE switch is providing enough power. Maybe option A or B could be the solution.

Hmm, the key details seem to be the different AP models, the PoE switch class, and the fact that the APs are in the same group in Central. I think I have a good handle on the situation.

This seems like a tricky one. I'll need to carefully read through the details to make sure I understand the problem before trying to solve it.

Okay, let's see. The issue is with the third-party USB dongles not coming up on the APs. I'm thinking option C might be the way to go - rebooting the APs by disabling and re-enabling PoE on the switch ports.

Okay, let me think this through step-by-step. The question is asking about the file that controls sudo access, so it has to be /etc/sudoers.

I'm a little confused by the wording of the question. What exactly do they mean by "automatic pivoting"? Does that rule out the pivot table option? I'm not sure, but I think I'll go with the Straight table with interactive sorting just to be safe.

Option C suggests performing a 'poe disable' and 'poe enable' for the switch ports to reboot the APs.

Moving the AP-635 access points to a different group to configure the dongles separately could also be a solution.

Should we also try performing a 'poe disable' followed by a 'poe enable' for the switch ports to reboot the APs?

I don't think replacing the switches is necessary. What about creating separate service profiles for the dongles?
