I'd recommend VTL. It's a tried and true backup target that works well with NetBackup. Plus, it's easy to set up and manage. Can't go wrong with that!

Definitely go with Catalyst. It's optimized for high-performance backups over WAN connections. The customer needs the best speed, and Catalyst is the way to go.
