I vaguely recall something about the Enable blocking option, but I’m not convinced it would directly address the memory issue we're facing here.

I think option C sounds familiar; we practiced setting JVM parameters in the User Defined tab during our last session. That might be the right approach.

I'm not entirely sure, but I feel like increasing the number of mapper tasks might not really help if the mappers are already running out of memory.
