I thought ST1 was more for throughput-intensive workloads, so I don't think it would be suitable for a business-critical SQL server.

I feel like GP3 is the newer option and could provide better performance, but I can't recall if it’s specifically recommended for SQL servers.

I remember practicing a question about EBS types, and I think I chose I01 for high IOPS, but I’m not confident if that’s necessary for SQL.
