Based on the requirements, I think option B using a custom object and custom REST API could be a good approach. That way we can tailor the integration to exactly what we need, while still minimizing custom code. The ETL piece will be key to keeping the data in sync between the systems.
Ah, I see now. Option D looks promising - using the force:hasSobjectName interface to get the context. I'll need to double-check the documentation on that, but I think that might be the best solution.
