I think one of the conditions might be that the parent entity is a wholly owned subsidiary of another company. But I'm not entirely sure if that's the only requirement.

Okay, I think I've got it. The most likely explanation is that the data the model is being fed has changed over time, so the original training data is no longer representative of the current market conditions. Retraining the model with updated data should help address the accuracy decline.
