Actual exam question for Dell EMC's D-UN-DY-23 exam
Question #: 18
Topic #: 8
[All D-UN-DY-23 Questions]

Which snapshot option is set automatically when a Pool is configured?

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: B

To meet the requirements, the replication connection mode must be set to Both, which allows both synchronous and asynchronous replication sessions to be configured on the same connection. This way, block resources can use synchronous replication, which ensures zero data loss, and file resources can use asynchronous replication, which allows some data difference on the destination. Setting Unisphere resource filtering to All is not necessary, as it only affects the display of resources in the Unisphere GUI. Setting an RPO of 0 on the synchronous replication sessions is redundant, as synchronous replication always has an RPO of 0. Configuring the replication interfaces on the 4-port mezzanine card is not relevant, as it only affects the performance and availability of the replication network.

Wait, are you sure? I thought it was B, Pool Automatic Deletion Policy.

Agree with C, that's what I've seen in practice.

I’m leaning towards B for the automatic deletion policy, but I could be mixing it up with another topic we covered.

I feel like I’ve seen a similar question before, and it was about snapshot pool consumption. Maybe that’s C?

I remember something about automatic deletion policies being important, but I can’t recall if that’s what gets set by default.

I think the option that gets set automatically is related to total consumption, but I’m not entirely sure if it’s A or C.

This seems like a straightforward question, but I want to make sure I don't miss anything. I'll review the relevant section in the textbook before answering.

Okay, let me see... I think the automatic snapshot option is Snapshot Pool Consumption, but I want to double-check that in the course materials just to be sure.

I'm pretty sure the answer is Snapshot Pool Consumption, since that's the option that's automatically set when configuring a Pool.

I'm a bit confused on this one. Is the key vault property the right way to go, or would Azure Policy be better? I'll need to think this through carefully.

I definitely recall that QuickSight is for visualization, not for performing the kind of joins necessary for this analysis. So, less likely.

Okay, let's see. I'm pretty sure Huawei servers work with the latest Windows Server versions, but I'm not sure about the older ones. I'll have to make an educated guess on this one.

Okay, let's think this through. The question is asking for the next hop from node A to node D, with the objective of low delay. The green policy is designed for low delay, so I'll need to focus on that.

I'm picturing a bunch of snapshots just randomly appearing in the pool like magic. Gotta be C, the Snapshot Pool Consumption. Although, I do wonder if option D is 'Snapshots Appearing Out of Thin Air'.

Total Pool Consumption? Really? That doesn't even make sense as an automatic snapshot option. I'm going with C, it's the only one that sounds like it could be correct.
