I’m a bit confused; I thought OSPF was a distance vector protocol. But I do recall that it uses some form of cost metric, not hop count.

I’m pretty confident that OSPF is a link-state protocol, and it uses cost as the metric. I just need to remember the details about how cost is calculated.

I practiced a similar question last week, and I believe OSPF uses the Dijkstra algorithm for path calculation, but that might be for a different protocol.
