You are attempting to install the Falcon sensor on a host with a slow Internet connection and the installation fails after 20 minutes. Which of the following parameters can be used to override the 20-minute default provisioning window?

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: C

'ProvNoWait=1

The sensor does not abort installation if it can't connect to the CrowdStrike cloud within 20 minutes (10 minutes, in Falcon sensor version 6.21 and earlier). (By default, if the host can't contact our cloud, it will retry the connection for 20 minutes. After that, the host will automatically uninstall its sensor.)'

'ProvWaitTime=3600000

The sensor waits for 1 hour to connect to the CrowdStrike cloud when installing (the default is 20 minutes).'

Surprised there's no option for just increasing the time!

Really? D) Timeout=30 seems too high to me.

D) Timeout=30 is the only sane option. Unless you want to be waiting forever.

A) ExtendedWindow=1? More like ExtendedSleepingTime, am I right?

C) ProvNoWait=1 is the way to go. Who needs a 20-minute window anyway?

D) Timeout=30 seems like the obvious choice here.

I’m leaning towards C) ProvNoWait=1, but I’m not confident. I need to double-check what that parameter actually does.

Hmm, I’m a bit confused. I thought Timeout=0 would mean no limit, but does that really work for this situation?

I feel like I've seen a question like this before, and I think D) Timeout=30 could be the right choice since it sets a longer wait time.

I think I remember something about extending the provisioning window, maybe it's A) ExtendedWindow=1? But I'm not entirely sure.

I think I've got it! The answer is C) ProvNoWait=1. That should let the installation continue without waiting for the default 20-minute window.

I'm a bit confused on this one. I'm not sure which parameter would be the best to use. Maybe I should review the question again and think it through step-by-step.

Alright, I've got this. I'm pretty sure the answer is D) Timeout=30. That should let me extend the provisioning window beyond the default.

Okay, let's see. I think the key here is to find the parameter that can override the default 20-minute provisioning window. I'll need to read through the options carefully.

Hmm, this seems like a tricky one. I'll need to think carefully about the different parameters and what they do.
