All brokers can respond to a Metadata request, so a client can connect to any broker in the cluster and then figure out on its own which brokers to send data to.
This is a tricky one. I'm not 100% sure, but I think the producer just needs to provide the topic name and the client can figure out the rest. I'll probably go with option D unless I can convince myself otherwise.
I'm feeling pretty confident about this. Based on my understanding, the producer needs to provide the client with the list of brokers, the topic name, and the partitions list. I'll go with option A.
Okay, I think I've got a strategy here. The key is understanding what information the producer needs to provide to the Kafka client in order to produce data to a topic. I'll carefully consider each option and eliminate the ones that don't make sense.
Hmm, I'm a bit unsure about this one. I know Kafka is related to distributed systems, but I'm not totally clear on the specifics of how producers interact with the brokers and topics.
