Makes sense, but I didn't realize it was that strict!

Nope, it's definitely 1. You need at least 2 in sync.

I’m confused about the acks=1 setting. Does that mean we can only afford to lose 1 broker? I thought it was more complicated than that.

This feels similar to a practice question we did on broker failures. I think we can lose 1 broker and still have enough replicas in sync.

I'm not entirely sure, but I remember something about needing at least 2 brokers up for the min.insync.replicas. So maybe it's 2 brokers down?

I think if the replication factor is 3 and min.insync.replicas is 2, then we can lose 1 broker and still produce, right?

I'm a bit confused by some of these terms like "NOP sled technique" and "heap-based security." I'll need to do a quick refresh on those concepts before answering.

Liquidity risk, for sure. That's the risk that the investment won't be easily convertible to cash without taking a big hit on the price. I feel pretty good about this one.

Hmm, this seems like a tricky one. I'll need to carefully read through the details and think about the different options.

Okay, let me see here. I'm pretty sure it's not that the MDU doesn't need to support MPLS, since that's not really a benefit. I'm leaning towards the answer about not needing a layer 2 loop prevention protocol.
