INSTRUCTIONS

Click on workstations, VMs, firewalls, and NSGs to troubleshoot and gather information. Type help in the terminal to view a list of available commands.

Select the appropriate device(s) requiring remediation and identify the associated issue(s).

Suggested Answer: A

Firewalls VPN tunnel down

The IPsec tunnel between on-prem Firewall 1 and cloud Firewall 2 (ipip0/ipip2) is down, so no traffic can traverse to the cloud.

Application NSG Misconfigured rule

There's a ''block'' rule for 10.3.9.0/24 192.2.1.0/24, preventing legitimate on-prem clients from reaching Application A.

Definitely check the NSGs for any rules blocking access.

Wait, how can they access one server but not the app? That’s weird.

I disagree, it might be a routing problem instead.

I think I read somewhere that if workstations can access Server B, it might not be a network-wide issue. Maybe it's specific to Application A?

I feel a bit lost on what to click first. Should I start with the workstations or go straight to the firewalls?

This scenario feels similar to that practice question about VM access. I think checking the NSGs first might be a good idea.

I remember we practiced troubleshooting connectivity issues, but I'm not sure if it's a firewall or NSG problem here.

Okay, this looks like a tricky one, but I think I can handle it. I'll start by checking the help menu to see what commands are available, then I'll start exploring the different devices and their connectivity. I'm sure I can find the root cause of the issue if I take a methodical approach.

Alright, let's do this! I'm feeling confident that I can figure out the issue here. First, I'll check the workstations and VMs to see if I can identify any obvious problems. Then I'll move on to the firewalls and NSGs to see if there are any rules or settings that need to be adjusted.

I'm a bit confused by the hybrid cloud setup, but I think the key is to focus on the connectivity between the workstations, VMs, and Server B. If the workstations can access Server B, then the issue must be with Application A. I'll start there and see if I can identify any firewall or network security group rules that might be blocking access.

Hmm, this seems like a tricky one. I'll start by checking the help menu to see what commands are available to troubleshoot the network. Then I'll try to gather as much information as I can about the different devices and their connectivity.

Okay, let's take a look at this step-by-step. First, I'll check the workstations and VMs to see if I can identify any connectivity issues. Then I'll move on to the firewalls and NSGs to see if there are any rules or settings that could be causing the problem.

Seriously, who designs these hybrid cloud setups? It's like a labyrinth of firewalls, NSGs, and VMs. Time to put on my detective hat!

Ah, the joys of troubleshooting hybrid cloud setups. I bet the issue is that the VMs are stuck in a parallel universe, trying to access Application A.

This is like a game of 'Where's Waldo' for network admins. I'm gonna have to really dig into those VMs and workstations to find the problem.
