I've got this one! The correct equation is C - nominal interest rate equals real interest rate plus expected inflation rate. That makes sense because the nominal rate has to account for both the real rate and the expected inflation.
Increasing the web service timeout could be a good solution, especially if the service is taking too long to respond. I'll need to weigh that against the other choices.
From what I studied, façades should reduce tight coupling, but I can't remember if that directly counts as negative coupling. I'm leaning towards false for this question.
