Citrix Exam 1Y0-440 Topic 7 Question 67 Discussion

Actual exam question for Citrix's 1Y0-440 exam
Question #: 67
Topic #: 7
[All 1Y0-440 Questions]

Scenario: Based on a discussion between a Citrix Architect and a team of Workspacelab members, the MPX Logical layout for Workspacelab has been created across three (3) sites.

The requirements captured during the design discussion held for a NetScaler design project are as follows:

Two (2) pairs of Citrix ADC MPX appliances deployed in the DMZ and internal network.

High Availability will be accessible for each Citrix ADC MPX

The external Citrix ADC MPX appliance will be deployed in multi-arm mode.

The internal Citrix ADC MPX will be deployed in single-arm mode wherein it will be connected to Cisco ACI Fabric.

All three (3) Workspacelab sites: Dc, NDR and DR, will have similar Citrix ADC configurations and design.

How many Citrix ADC MPX appliances should the architect deploy at each site to meet the design requirements above?

I think Source IP hash might be a better choice, as it ensures consistent routing based on the source IP address.

I believe Least response time could also be a good option, as it focuses on minimizing response time.

I agree with Shad, Dynamic round trip time (RTT) would be the best choice for this scenario.

Source IP hash? More like source IP crash, am I right? This is clearly a GSLB scenario, not a local load balancing one.

Haha, least packets? What is this, a Cisco exam? Let's keep it Citrix-focused, people.

Least response time could also work, but I'm not sure it's the best fit for a multi-datacenter setup. The dynamic nature of RTT seems more suitable.

I think the architect should use Dynamic round trip time (RTT) for the deployment.

Dynamic RTT is the way to go here. The customer wants an active-active deployment, so we need a load balancing algorithm that can adapt to real-time network conditions.

Agreed, it will ensure optimal performance by dynamically adjusting to network conditions.

Dynamic RTT is definitely the best choice for this scenario.
