Network artifacts? IP addresses? I'm not seeing how those would be the basis for YARA rules. I'm leaning towards A or B.

I'm pretty sure the answer is D. In a deployment with multiple indexes, if you don't specify an index in the search, Splunk will return events from every index that the user has access to.
