Actual exam question for CIPS's L5M3 exam
Question #: 12
Topic #: 1

What is the purpose of conflict resolution?

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer: B

The purpose is 'to agree a way forward'. This is a direct quote from p.61. The other answers are incorrect- conflict resolution isn't always binding and sometimes not all parties are happy with the outcome. It certainly isn't about punishing about anyone (this is a common red herring option given in the exam)

Binding solutions are important too, but not the main goal.

Wait, so it’s not just about punishing the wrongdoer? That’s surprising!

I really hope it's not about punishing anyone, like option D. That doesn't seem like a constructive approach to conflict resolution at all.

I practiced a question similar to this, and I feel like creating a binding solution is important, but it might not be the main goal.

I'm not entirely sure, but I remember something about ensuring all parties are happy with the outcome. That sounds like option C, right?

I think the purpose of conflict resolution is mainly to agree on a way forward, like option B. It makes sense to find a solution that everyone can accept.

This looks like a straightforward multiple-choice question about the services provided by ManageOne 3.0. I'll carefully read through the options and select the ones that seem most relevant.

Hmm, I'm a bit confused about the difference between the -U and -F options. I'll need to review the documentation to make sure I understand them properly.

Hmm, the wording of these options is a bit tricky. I'll need to carefully read through each one to determine which one is truly accurate.

I think we discussed command and control being one of the list types, but I'm not entirely sure about the second one.
