CheckPoint Exam 156-315.80 Topic 2 Question 47 Discussion

Actual exam question for CheckPoint's 156-315.80 exam
Question #: 47
Topic #: 2
[All 156-315.80 Questions]

To accelerate the rate of connection establishment, SecureXL groups all connection that match a particular service and whose sole differentiating element is the source port. The type of grouping enables even the very first packets of a TCP handshake to be accelerated. The first packets of the first connection on the same service will be forwarded to the Firewall kernel which will then create a template of the connection. Which of the these is NOT a SecureXL template?

I heard SecureXL also has a 'Confuse Template' that just randomly decides what to do with each connection. Real 'accelerate' the process, you know?

Ooh, this is a tough one. But I'm going to go with A) Accept Template. Seems like that would be the most relevant for SecureXL's connection acceleration features.

Haha, this is a tricky one! I'm going to go with B) Deny Template. Denying connections doesn't really align with the goal of accelerating them, right?

I agree, A) Accept Template, C) Drop Template, and D) NAT Template all seem more relevant to accelerating connections.

Yeah, denying connections wouldn't help with accelerating the rate of connection establishment.

I think you're right, B) Deny Template doesn't make sense in this context.

Hmm, I was thinking it might be D) NAT Template. Since NAT is a different process from connection acceleration, it doesn't seem like it would be part of the SecureXL templates.

I'm not sure, but I think C) Drop Template is also a possibility. It doesn't seem like something that would be used as a template for connection acceleration.

I agree with Marya, because SecureXL accelerates connection establishment, so a Deny Template wouldn't make sense.

I'm pretty sure the answer is C) Drop Template. SecureXL is all about accelerating connection establishment, so a Drop Template wouldn't really fit that purpose.
