I agree with Charlesetta, INSPECT Engine is designed for deep packet inspection and storing information in state tables.

But the question mentions extracting detailed information from packets, which is what INSPECT Engine does.

What kind of a question is this, anyway? Might as well just flip a coin at this point. Packet Sniffer 3000, anyone?

Definitely not A - that sounds like some kind of engine, not a firewall. I'd go with the 'Next-Generation' one, it's probably the most advanced option here.

Hmm, I'm torn between B and D. Guess I'll just go with my gut and choose the one that sounds more 'next-generation', you know?

Packet Filtering is way too basic for this level of detail. I bet it's the INSPECT Engine - that's all about extracting and storing packet info, isn't it?

Application Layer Firewall sounds like the right answer to me. It's the one that looks at the actual content of the packets, not just the headers.

INSPECT Engine is another technology that can extract detailed information from packets and store it in state tables.

Next-Generation Firewall also extracts detailed information from packets, but it's not the same as Application Layer Firewall.

I think you're right, Application Layer Firewall does inspect the content of packets.

I think it's definitely the Next-Generation Firewall. That's the one that's all about deep packet inspection, right?

Oh, I see. So it's the Next-Generation Firewall that stores information in state tables.

Actually, it's the Next-Generation Firewall that does that, not the INSPECT Engine.
