In which two (2) locations should an administrator install the Symantec Installation Manager to facilitate the installation of IT Management Suite 8.1 on the target Notification Server? (Select two.)
I’m leaning towards options A and C, but I’m a bit confused about whether we really need to install it on a desktop system for remote installation. That seems off.
I feel like we practiced a similar question, and I think installing on the Notification Server is definitely one of the answers. But I can't recall if it should be on another server too.
I remember something about needing to create an offline installation if the Notification Server doesn't have internet access. Maybe option A or E could be right?
I think we need to install it on the server that will be the Notification Server itself, but I'm not sure if it's also necessary to have it on another server for remote installation.
Okay, I've got this! The solution is to configure geo-replication on the DB1 database and add a failover group to the Server1 server. That way, if the primary region goes down, the applications can seamlessly connect to the replicated database in the secondary region without having to update the connection strings. Easy peasy!
Shouldn't the Symantec Installation Manager just, you know, install itself? I mean, that's what it's designed for, right? This exam question is clearly trying to trick us.
Ah, the joys of IT certifications. Where else can you be asked to install software on a server... that doesn't have internet access? Talk about a real-world scenario!
Hmm, I'm not sure about this one. A and E sound like the obvious choices, but I could see an argument for B as well. Maybe I should just flip a coin and hope for the best.
I think A and B are the way to go. You need it on the Notification Server for offline installs, and on another server to remotely manage the installation. Anything else is just overkill.
The correct answers are A and E. Installing the Symantec Installation Manager on the Notification Server itself (C) doesn't make sense, as it's the target server. And installing it on a desktop (D) is just weird.
