I feel like it's C) Failure to generalize. What if the child struggles in waves?

I agree, but what about B) Response generalization? The child can do the crawl anywhere.

I think it's A) Stimulus generalization. The child learned in the pool, but it applies to the beach.

Natural contingencies (D) might play a role too, though!

I disagree, it could be C) Failure to generalize if they struggle at the beach.

I recall a practice question about natural contingencies, but I don't think that's the right answer here since it's more about the environment affecting the behavior.

I feel like this could also be a case of failure to generalize if the child couldn't swim in the ocean at all. But they can do the front crawl, so maybe not?

I'm not entirely sure, but I remember something about response generalization being when a behavior is used in a different context. Could that apply here?

I think this might be stimulus generalization because the child is applying what they learned in the pool to a different environment, right?
