Atlassian Exam ACP-100 Topic 9 Question 107 Discussion

Actual exam question for Atlassian's ACP-100 exam
Question #: 107
Topic #: 9
[All ACP-100 Questions]

Jan asked you to create a new Select List custom field called Department for his project MCAS.

You created the field in the morning. In the afternoon, Jan notes that his Jira dashboard is not showing the field correctly. He asks to help him troubleshoot.

View the Exhibit to see Jan's entire dashboard.

* The first gadget shows 26 issues in the project by Status.

* The second gadget shows that there are three issues that have the new Department field set.

* The last gadget shows ''No Data Available''. The filter query for that gadget is ''project=MCAS and Department is empty.''

Why does Jan's gadget say ''No Data Available''?

Reindexing the project? That's like turning it off and on again. Always worth a shot!

I bet Jan wishes he had a magic 8-ball to troubleshoot this. 'Reply hazy, try again later'.

Hmm, the JQL query looks fine to me. Maybe Jan needs to check his permissions or there's a caching issue with the dashboard.

Maybe re-indexing the MCAS project could also solve the problem.

The issue is definitely due to the field context not being set to allow empty values. I'm sure Jan will appreciate you pointing that out.

I agree with Domonique, that could be the reason for the 'No Data Available' message.

I think the issue is with the field context not allowing empty values.
