Releasing updates of an application into Google Play requires signing it with the same certificate, or else all the previous users will not be notified of the update and eventually are lost.
This makes sense to me. If the certificate changes, then Google Play won't recognize it as an update to the same app, and users won't get notified. I'm feeling good about answering this one.
I'm a little confused by this question. Does it mean the developer has to use the same certificate every time they release an update? I'll have to think this through carefully.
Okay, I remember learning about this in class. The app has to be signed with the same certificate so that Google Play can verify it's the same app being updated.
I'm pretty confident about this one. The key is that the app needs to be signed with the same certificate for updates to be recognized by previous users.
