A Developer is asked to implement a caching layer in front of RDS. Cached content is expensive to regenerate in case of service failure. Which implementation below would work while maintaining maximum uptime?
Ah, the classic 'cache or HBase' dilemma. I wonder if they'll also consider implementing a blockchain-based microservices architecture to really make things interesting.
ApsaraDB for Redis in Standard Mode could work, but I think the Cluster Mode is a better choice to handle the expensive cached content in case of service failures.
Installing Redis on an ECS instance might work, but I'm worried about managing the Redis server and ensuring high uptime. The managed ApsaraDB for Redis solution seems more appealing.
I'm not sure about migrating the RDS database to HBase just to save the cache layer. That seems like overkill and could introduce more complexity than necessary.
