I'm going to go with C. If the activiti-app configuration property wasn't enabled for data model entities and data sources, that would definitely cause the issue described.

Hmm, I'm not too sure about this one. Maybe the driver class isn't defined, like option A says. But then again, the database could be down, so D might be the right answer.
